John Sherrod
John Sherrod John began practicing Ashtanga Yoga in 1998 and has been teaching since 2001. After years of competitive sports training, John was drawn to the healing and transformative powers of Ashtanga Yoga. He has found the practice of yoga to be an excellent means of building physicial strength and conditioning, but it has been the "moving meditation" aspects of Ashtanga, the "invisible" yoga, that have kept his practice continuous. John has studied under many gifted teachers, including Adele Gale, Bryan Kest, David Swenson, Rodney Yee, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, and continues to be influenced by the wisdom, philosophy and training of David Williams and Ranjani Cobo.
